Rick is a seasoned and knowledgeable financial advisor who has proven himself in developing strong client relationships and offering solid solutions. He has been a trusted consultant for his clients and keeps their financial goals in the forefront of every interaction.

Rick has been in the financial services industry since 2012. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he owned his own software company and served as a seasonal tax preparer with H&R Block.

He is an alumnus of Western Illinois University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He also earned an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. He holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as state life and health insurance licenses.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, Rick lived in Fountain Hills, Arizona, before moving with his wife, Cynthia, and two dogs to Sterling, Illinois. Together, they enjoy spending time outdoors and listening to music. Rick and Cynthia both love to play the piano! In his free time, Rick likes to play golf, read and work on crossword puzzles. He is happy to be back in the same state as his two adult daughters.

As Administrative Assistant at SFB Investment Center, Bethany Megill plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our dynamic financial environment. From managing schedules and coordinating appointments, to facilitating communication and handling essential documentation, her attention to detail and organizational finesse keep our operations on track. Bethany brings a wealth of experience to the SFB Investment Center team, including five years of dedicated service in the banking industry. Before transitioning to the financial sector, she honed her organizational prowess and attention to detail during her tenure at a health insurance office, where she gained invaluable insights into efficient administrative practices.

Bethany's favorite aspect of her role lies in the variety it offers. She thrives on the diverse range of tasks that come her way, showcasing her adaptability and resourcefulness in managing challenges. Beyond the responsibilities, she also appreciates the positive atmosphere at SFB Investment Center and the relationships she has formed here.

Bethany was born in Indiana, but has called Sterling, Illinois home since the age of six. In her free time, she immerses herself in the pages of literature, enjoys the enchanting world of musical theater, and satisfies her wanderlust through travel. Bethany's strong family ties are evident through her bond with her younger sister, with whom she shares a house, as well as her close-knit family of eight siblings and two parents.

As a young adult, Bethany spent two years touring with New Life Drama Company to present skits at churches, schools, and prisons all over the country. Her passion for outreach through the arts continues to this day, as she is an active participant in local community theater, breathing life into performances that resonate with audiences. Moreover, her involvement in her church underscores her continued dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those around her.
